A Jewel of a Fabric! Purple/Burgundy Patterned Uneven Wales Corduroy: Sold as a Piece

The jewel-like color of this fabric along with its unusual alternating wales and patterning make this a unique piece.

This is a vintage piece. The color is either a deep burgundy or a regal purple; I can't make up my mind.  There are two different widths of wale... 1/8" and 3/8" and there is a pattern in the wales themselves.

This is all we have, a half yard of 44" wide fabric.  It must be rare, as we can find nothing to compare it to online...only new stuff that is nowhere near as interesting.  There is no stretch in this, which makes it a good candidate for corsets, trim at a neckline or wrists, totes and costuming in general.

One end of this piece was cut unevenly. Instead of cutting off the uneven part, we measured the rest, which is 1/2 yard plus a tiny bit extra.

This has been washed, so no shrinkage nor color wash expected.
