Anne Klein Vintage Necklace 42" long, Marked
Anne Klein is still a respected name in fashion & jewelry. Her view has carried forward all this time, even though she passed in 1974.
She made quality costume jewelry to compliment her fashion designs & colors. This necklace may be from the 70's, in the early days when the company focused on matte & glossy metals mixed with rhinestones & faceted glass. They used a heavy application of finishes so they look as new today as they did when first offered.
Possibly from the Aventura Collection, they were made in a variety of colors to match the colorways of her fashions.
This classic design of teardrop & ovals is in green, lavender & a gorgeous blue gray mixed with open shapes. All the framed faceted glass pieces are in open frames to let in maximum light to show off the colors.
Some people say these are gemstones but there is no evidence that the company ever used anything but rhinestones & glass in these. I'm sure these are glass.
The necklace is long enough to drop to your waist or below. You can double it to make a two strand look.
