PURPLE RAIN Superwash Merino Yarn: Fingering/Sock Weight- only 1 skein left!
This yarn color is worthy of the name; the legendary singer/musician/songwriter Prince would approve!
100% fine (this means soft!) superwash (less apt to shrink when washed) Merino yarn is fingering weight and great for socks. The splotches of purple, lavender, lilac, pink & white remind me of a rain shower...if it occurred in an 80's music video.
383 yards per 3.5 oz. skein.
Once upon a time, yarns like this one were called ‘orphans’. Why? Because most projects require multiple skeins of yarn to complete, like sweaters or afghans. We here at OWD prefer to call them One Skein Wonders because there are many things that can be done with a single skein; socks (check your pattern for yardage required), hats, baby things, scarves, doll hair, embroidery embellishments, etc.
OSW’s occur for two reasons: 1) Wooly was experimenting with dye colors and only dyed one skein or 2) all but one skein of a certain colorway were purchased and that specific color combo could not be recreated exactly.
