Any time I find out that a yarn has cashmere in it, I have to pick it up and give it the "pet" test. Cashmere is very soft and very warm. And yes, this yarn is very pettable and it's lovely to look at too!

Veronica is a smooth fingering weight yarn that would make beautiful socks or mittens. It is hand dyed royal purple & salmon and where the two colors meet blends into pink, silver & lilac.

The yarn is a blend of 80% extra fine super wash (prevents shrinking & felting) Merino wool, 10% cashmere and 10% recycled nylon (gives it some stretch & durability for those socks). There is only one skein of this colorway left! 437 yards/ 3.5 oz skein. We recommend that you wash & dry anything made with this gently; yes, it's superwash, but why treat this beautiful yarn roughly?

Once upon a time, yarns like this one were called ‘orphans’. Why? Because most projects require multiple skeins of yarn to complete, like sweaters or afghans. We here at OWD prefer to call them One Skein Wonders because there are many things that can be done with a single skein; hats, baby things, scarves, doll hair, embroidery embellishments...

OSW’s occur for two reasons: either 1) Wooly was experimenting with dye colors and only dyed one skein or 2) all but one skein of a certain colorway were purchased and that specific color combo cannot be recreated exactly.
